Management Team

Robin L. Phinney , P.Eng., Chief Executive Officer and Director

Mr. Phinney started his career in mining with Vale Inco and Kidd Creek Mines studying base metal purification. Mr. Phinney subsequently held various engineering positions through his 15 years at Potash Corp, which included being responsible for streamlining production, new product development, evaluating engineering proposals, supplying technical support to Potash Corp sales, and performing detailed process designs. Mr. Phinney served as the Director of Technology of Airborne Technologies Inc. from 1998 to 2003. Mr. Phinney co-founded Whitemud Resources Inc., a mining and manufacturing company listed on the TSX Venture, in 2003 where he developed a new process to produce quality metakaolin for the concrete industry from Saskatchewan based ores. Mr. Phinney founded the Corporation to explore the development of the carnallite resource in the Karnalyte Property, and has developed patent pending technology that is anticipated to produce high quality fertilizer products. Mr. Phinney is a Professional Engineer, and completed his Bachelor of Engineering degree at the Lakehead University in 1976.

Ronald Love , CA, Vice-President, Finance, Chief Financial Officer and Director

Mr. Love is a Chartered Accountant with over 16 years experience in progressively senior financial roles in various industries. Mr. Love joined Churchill Corporation on November 16, 2009 as Vice President, Finance, Administration and Treasury. Prior to joining Churchill, Mr. Love was the Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer for Whitemud Resources Inc., a mining and manufacturing company listed on the TSX Venture exchange, from January 2006 to November 2009. Prior to Whitemud, Mr. Love was Vice President Finance and Controller for AltaLink L.P. from 2004 to 2006. Prior to AltaLink L.P., Mr. Love held a number of positions with Greyhound Canada including Director, Internal Audit and Vice President, Finance from 1998 to 2004. Ron has extensive financial experience in private and public companies gained through considerable work with boards, audit committees, investors, shareholders and regulatory agencies. Mr. Love received his Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting, degree at the University of Calgary in 1989, his Chartered Accountant designation in 1994, and completed his CICA Corporate Controllership Program in 1998.

Julius Brinkman , Vice-President, Corporate Development

Vice President, Corporate Development of the Corporation since March 2010. Prior thereto he was Senior Vice President, Investment Advisor for BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc. from December 2007 to March 2010 and prior to that Vice President, Investment Advisor for National Bank Financial from January 2002 to November 2007 and a founding member of National Bank Financial's Private Wealth Solutions Group. Mr. Brinkman has held a number of senior management positions both nationally and internationally in the financial industry for over twenty seven years with various companies. His experience includes capital market financing, portfolio management services, specialized investment and tax planning strategies and senior branch office management.

Siu Ma , MBA, P.Eng., Vice-President, Engineering, Research and Development

Mr. Ma has over 30 years of experience in engineering services. Mr. Ma's experience includes piloting, operation and process design of various minerals, fertilizers, oil sands and hydrometallurgical process plants, commissioning, research and development, and project management. In addition, Mr. Ma has more than 20 years of experience in potash and potassium chemicals, including operations, process improvement, new mine development and design, research and development and cavern brine test facility operations. Mr. Ma worked for Potash Corp as a Process Engineer, at the Rocanville mine, Saskatchewan, in the Research and Development Group and in Project Development Group which completed the process design, energy and material balances, prepared process flowsheets, selected process equipment, made general arrangements and prepared capital cost estimates for a potash facility to produce 3.6 million tons of potash per year at Potash Corp Bredenbury, Saskatchewan. Mr. Ma currently holds two process patents, neither of which are currently used by Karnalyte. Mr. Ma has developed the process design and engineering specifications for the Wynyard Carnallite Project potash facility. Mr. Ma received his Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree in 1976 and his MBA in 1998 from the University of Saskatchewan.

Robert T. Macgillivray , Vice-President, Marketing

Mr. Macgillivray has over 30 years of experience in agriculture, including buying and selling grain and selling crop inputs in various trading positions including with the Alberta Wheat Pool. He served as the Vancouver Grain Sales Manager from 1988 to 1993, where he was responsible for Vancouver grain and by-product sales and non-board rail/vessel logistics. Mr. Macgillivray served as a Manager with Mackillop Fertilizer & Feed Ltd. where he was responsible for management and sales. He served as CEO with Hub Commodities Inc. from 1995 to 2007, where he traded grain and designed and developed an accounting system for grain trading and logistics.

Henry Kerkhoven , MBA, PMP, Vice President, Administration

Mr. Kerkhoven has over 30 years experience in finance, information technology, marketing, human resources, and administration in various positions throughout North America. Mr. Kerkhoven as President of K-I-T-Solutions has worked with TransCanada, Bell Canada (West), and other clients from 2003 to 2007. Mr. Kerkhoven has served on the board of directors of the Project Management Institute (PMI) Southern Alberta Chapter and PMI Metrics Group. Mr. Kerkhoven completed his Master of Business Administration degree at the Concordia University in 1984, his Bachelor of Commerce in Computer Science in 1972 and Bachelor of Science in Physics 1971 at Concordia University. Mr. Kerkhoven is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
